Design Philosophy
Many assume that limited budgets mean aesthetics must be sacrificed, it simply is not so. Creative thinking and frugal choices, whether by force or preference, can still create great design. The difference between a good web site and a great one, on any budget, is a matter of experience and skill. Our goal is to help you get the most for your investment. Web sites can be billboards but most folks don’t like to visit billboards. We believe in planning for the upkeep of your web site, keeping key content fresh and to do so in a cost effective way. We’ll help you make wise choices not only for the concept, design, and production but also for the maintenance and upkeep of your web site. Creative decisions supplemented by experience and skill – it’s what we do best.
Design Tools
“An ounce of performance is worth a pound of promise.” – Mae West.
We choose our tools carefully and learn how to use them to their fullest potential. Sometimes we find the promises don’t match the performance. When we do find a tool that works, we come to rely upon it and like the parallel rules and mechanical pencils of yesterday, it quickly becomes a trusted companion. For web site layout and design we use Adobe’s Dreamweaver and Cold Fusion. For graphic design creation, scanning, and manipulation we use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and ImageReady, Fireworks and Flash; Corel’s Painter, e frontier’s Poser, and Daz3d’s Bryce.
